Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026
SDR Accounting & Business Solutions Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) takes your privacy seriously. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Who we are
We are an accountancy practice based in Fair Oak, Eastleigh, Hampshire. We are the data controller for the information you provide. For any privacy questions, contact us at shelley@sdraccounting.co.uk or 07522 021 966.
Information we collect
- Enquiry details — your name, email, phone number, business name, the service you're interested in and any message you send via our contact form.
- Client records — where you engage us, we hold the financial and personal information needed to provide accountancy and tax services (for example income, expenses, payroll and HMRC details). This is held securely and only used to deliver your services.
- Technical data — a single essential cookie that keeps the website working. We do not run advertising or tracking cookies.
How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiry and arrange your free consultation.
- To provide accountancy, tax, payroll and bookkeeping services to you.
- To file returns and correspond with HMRC, Companies House and other authorities on your behalf.
- To meet our legal, regulatory and anti-money-laundering obligations.
Our lawful bases are your consent (when you contact us), the performance of a contract (delivering your services), our legal obligations (tax and AML rules), and our legitimate interests in running the practice.
Sharing your information
We do not sell your data. We share it only where necessary to deliver your services or meet our obligations — for example with HMRC, Companies House, our software providers, or where required by law. Any providers we use are required to protect your information appropriately.
How long we keep it
Enquiry messages are kept only as long as needed to deal with your request. Client records are retained for the periods required by tax law and our professional and anti-money-laundering obligations (generally at least six years), after which they are securely destroyed.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or erase your data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, email shelley@sdraccounting.co.uk. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to keep your information secure and to prevent unauthorised access.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be published on this page.
